Raising Awareness About Financial Abuse
In 2014 Age Action was awarded a grant from Ulster Bank’s Community Impact Fund to raise awareness among older people and customer-facing bank staff about elder financial abuse.
With only one in four older people in Ireland online and with lower levels of access to the internet compared with other age cohorts, bank branches play an important role for older people in the management of their finances.
