Fundraise for us
Each year, through our advocacy and programme work, we have seen many lives changed for the better. This year our work is more important than ever as we continue to keep older people Connected, Informed, and Supported.
Connected: Can you imagine the last year without access to the internet or digital communications? For many older people in Ireland, lack of digital literacy increased the risk of social isolation. In response, we adapted our Getting Started programme, which provides free 1-to-1 digital literacy tutoring, to provide this essential support remotely. Since April 2020, we’ve reached over 1,000 people across Ireland through our tutoring programme and another 7,000+ with free training packs through our new, Getting Started: Keep In Touch (KIT) programme.
Informed: With your support, we can continue to offer up-to-date, accurate information to older people, their family members, or home carers on how they can stay safe and access crucial resources and supports, including our own programmes or referral to other services.
Supported: Our Care & Repair programme meet the needs of older people. We also offer a service to support older people to make their home environment safer so that they can be discharged from hospital as soon as possible.
Thank you for your interest in, and support for, Age Action. We look forward to continuing to grow our community and impact with your help.
Age Action’s goal is to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of older people and achieve equality and human rights for all of us as we age. Your support is what allows us to do this.
